THE BUY THAT ALMOST WAS.

There’s something a little bittersweet about this one.

Before I made the decision to close my store, I had already sat down and done what I’d done season after season for nearly 20 years: I built my fall buy.

And I had already chosen Free People.

These are the shoes I looked at through my buyer lens and said YES to — the fun pair that gets someone to stop, the loafer she'll wear three times a week, the slightly weird one that makes the assortment interesting, and the cozy slipper she'll come back to buy as a gift.

I may not get to unpack the boxes and put them on my floor this time.

But I still get to share the buy.

And I kind of love that. 🤎
