There is something about the first chilly mornings of fall that makes a really good pair of slippers feel completely necessary. The Free People First Frost Slippers are cozy, fun and exactly the kind of around-the-house shoe I loved adding to a fall buy.

These were part of the Free People Fall ’26 assortment I selected before deciding to close my store — and they’re still a yes for me.

I always liked having a few things in a fall buy that were simply about feeling good.

These are the slippers I’d want sitting next to my bed when the first genuinely cold morning arrives — pajamas, coffee and these. Done.

I also loved styles like this from a buyer’s perspective because they make such good gifts. It’s the kind of thing you may not think to buy for yourself but would be very happy to unwrap.
