Free People Landry Platform Boots — Black

The Free People Landry Platform Boots were exactly the kind of boot I wanted represented in my Fall ’26 buy — bold enough to make an outfit, but still incredibly easy to wear because of the classic black.

I love a platform boot with dresses and skirts, but these are just as good peeking out from under wide-leg denim. They give you height, a little edge and a completely different option from the traditional fall ankle boot.

Every shoe buy needs a great black boot — but that doesn't mean it has to be boring. 🖤

The platform is what got me here. It gives the Landry enough personality to stand out on the floor, while the black makes it easy for someone to immediately picture how she'd wear it.

I'd put these under wide-leg denim with a simple knit + great jacket, or use them to toughen up a feminine fall dress.

When I was buying, I always wanted that balance: something a little different that you could still actually wear.

The Landry checked both boxes.
