Sometimes one detail is enough to get a shoe onto the buy — and here, it’s that tortoise sole.

The SOREL Kinetic Array Sneaker takes a black sneaker and makes it feel completely different. I love the contrast of the sporty black upper against that tortoise-inspired sole — exactly the kind of unexpected detail that would have caught my eye during a buying appointment.

And I really wish SOREL still had stock in the lighter color because that one would have been an immediate yes for me.
