This is exactly the kind of shoe I would have added to a Frye buy to keep the assortment interesting.

The Frye Faith Chain Mule in Chocolate has that rich leather Frye does so well, but the chain detail gives it a little more personality. It feels polished without being dressy and gives you an easy alternative when you’ve already got plenty of loafers and clogs in your closet.

DEAR LUCY EDIT

Every buy needs something besides the obvious.

Frye will always make me think of Campus + Harness boots, but I wouldn't build an entire floor around heritage boots.

I'd put this next to them and wear it with relaxed denim + a cream knit, or with trousers and a simple tee while the weather is still warm.

It's familiar enough to wear constantly, but the chain gives it just enough personality to earn its spot.
