Bibi Lou Classic Ruched Loafers

The loafer is one of my five essential shoes for fall, but this season I’m especially drawn to versions that feel a little softer and less traditional. The Bibi Lou Classic Ruched Loafer gives you the polish of a loafer with a relaxed, feminine feel that makes it incredibly easy to wear.

I love this kind of shoe with straight-leg or cropped denim, but it’s equally good with trousers, skirts and dresses. It’s the perfect answer when you want something more polished than a sneaker but don’t want to wear a heel.

If I were building a fall shoe wardrobe from scratch, a great loafer would absolutely make my top five. But I don’t necessarily want the stiff, traditional version we’ve seen season after season.

The ruching on this Bibi Lou pair is what caught my eye. It softens the whole shoe and gives it a slightly undone quality that feels much more current. I’d wear these with ankle-length jeans, a white button-down and an oversized blazer — easy, polished and exactly how I want to dress for fall.
